2025 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT

Sailor Schervish

Hello! My name is Sailor Schervish. During high school I divided my study time at two high schools. I just graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School, but also studied at Central Campus and took Italian for 4 years at Central Academy in Des Moines, Iowa. My plans are to double major at the University of Iowa in Communications and Cinema Studies this fall and eventually study abroad in Italy.

I have taken Film and Broadcast classes at Central Campus for two years, editing videos, shooting, writing, as well as running a full professional studio. I have also competed in the 48-Hour Film Project in Des Moines in 2023, 2024 and plan to compete again this summer before going to college!
